Hi,
I have read that the DD statement that UNIT=AFF references must be closed before the DD stament that contains UNIT=AFF opens. This restriction is not applicable for concatenated DD statements..why is it so?
Can anyone help me out with this?
Regards

cobcurious,

Unit=AFF is used reference the same device of an earlier DD statement in the JCL.can you post the source where you have read that ? I was not able to find related to that. Check this link (scroll to the bottom) for restrictions of using unit=AFF parameter.

Hope this helps...
