I want to extract the content of the JESMSGLG from JHS for a specific job into a dataset. Is there any way we can do this ?

Hi Kolusu,
Could you please give me the commands to get this into dataset thru JCL.
For Example my job name is : PSE2700. ran on 02/03/2004.

Sateesh,
hmm Did you go thru the link give above? In that link the 3rd post had batch JCL with all commands. change jobname in the //ISFIN DD * parameters to PSE2700. was it that difficult to understand? you will learn more when you try to understand as to what is happening rather simply copying.

Hi Kolusu,
Thanks for ur kind help. I can very well understand the solution given in the above link. try to understand that i am not asking you to get the sysout from spool(SDSF). It's JHS ( Job History System ). I have been telling this from the begining .....X/PTR and JHS are software products licensed by and property of Systemware, Inc., Addison, Texas

Sateesh,
I apologize for not reading your post clearly. I somehow missed the software you are referring. I have never worked ( as a matter of fact never heard of JHS). If I am able to find a manual then I will let you know.
