Bala,
You cannot access the job output of other users unless he makes the output to be public. There are 2 ways of making the job output public.
Option:1
Choose option S;ST
PRESS PF11
You will find column PrtDest. This column will have values as LOCAL
Tab over to the LOCAL and overtype PUBLIC and press enter.
Now the output can be viewed by all users
Option:2
Add the following line after the jobcard before submitting the job.
/*ROUTE PRINT PUBLIC
This will allow the output to be viewed by public.
Hope this helps...
Cheers

balamin,
The owner of the jobs should be doing the 2 options mentioned above. if you are trying to sneek his output ithout his permission, then you are at a loss.

If you have a legitimate need to look at output other than your own, SDSF security can be set up to allow this. Your MVS sysprogs will know how/who (there are two different SDSF security setups - old 'non-RACF' version and new RACF version). For example, as a sysprog I have a legitimate reason to see all SDSF output and so I am given this access.
If it's just a one off or occasional requirement, the other user can always use SDSF line commands such as XDC to save their job output to a dataset and then TSO TRANSMIT it to your id.
You've given the impression that you maybe don't want to ask anyone for this output or the authority to see it; this makes people suspect you're trying to bypass security (which may not be the case of course).
Basically if you're not authorized to do something on the m/f then you should get yourself properly authorized through the proper channels, and this will be allowed if you have a legitimate reason for needing this access.
If you don't have a legitimate reason, then you shouldn't try to do it. |
