I was testing something in TSO and received the following error so I thought I'd append what seemd to be a/the solution in case anyone else runs into it
Quote: |
406 *-* /* rc = fred(selected_database) */
407 *-* rc = casedb2(selected_database)
System abend code 0C4, reason code 00000016.
Abend in external function CASEDB2.
System abend code 0C4, reason code 00000016.
PHASE 1 PROCESSING OF CLIST OR REXX EXEC ENDED ABNORMALLY +
ABEND CODE: S0C4 REASON CODE: 0010
|
The actual script I'm running is called MSCASEDB. This shows a panel where one of the input fields is called casedb
Note the commented line on 406.
If I flip-flop the fred call and the casedb2 one (and fred is an exact copy of casedb2), then all works well.
My guess is that it has something to do with the generic names of the panel variables and the actual rexx script name, but having found a work-around, I'm not going to bother to report it or investigate it any more.
Just thought I'd post this so anyone else could possible be helped by this post.
(As a quick experiment, I changed the CASEDB2 script name to CASEDL1, after which the abends disappeared). _________________ Michael |

misi01,
Looks like you have casedb2 exec in your concatenation list which does not support the receiving of parms.
To debug the issue
1. Type TSO ISRDDN and press enter
2. Issue the command Member casedb2 and press enter.
3. It should now find the PDS which has this member. _________________ Kolusu

Thanks for the pointer. You were quite right. This is what I found (Obviously (?) some CA software): -
Quote: |
CASEDB2 CAW1F00
üRMID(RESERVE)
ü 20180507 15.57
.......CA ENF/D
B2
R15.0 - COPYR
IGHT (C) 1993-20
18 CA. ALL RIG

As I mentioned, I simply renamed my script and everything was fine after that. _________________ Michael |
