Hi ,

I'm writing a query to display some contents of it to a dataset and export it to a excel file,

the output I get consists of 2 pages whereas I need the output in a single page .. I tried changing the Block size and LREc but it ends in error

Help me !!

jasmineaddicted,

It is not clear as to what you are trying to do. How do you plan to fit 2 pages worth of data into a single page? Is it the excel page size we are talking or the output from QMF on mainframe? Please show us a sample of input and desired output.

Hi Kolusu,

I need the o/p in a dataset.

my query will be like this from a jcl...

select col1, col2, col3, col4 from table1, table2

the output what I get is

page 1:

col1 col2 col3
aa 12 22
bb 33 44

page2:

col4
11
22


I need all the results in Page 1....

jasmineaddicted,

I am guessing that you are using DSNTEP2 which has a fixed LRECL=133 and RECFM=FBA. You cannot override the lrecl of DSNTEP2. You can use DSNTIAUL unload utility but you have to reformat the numeric columns as it gives the data as is from the table.
