Hi,
Can anyone give me some ideas or better process that can be followed with our current process that we follow in our team?
Currently we receive files everyday from other teams through mails, then run those files through certain jobs and the jobs loads these files(policies) on to Document direct where the policies can be viewed as PDF'S on the Document Direct. We then need to send the time back to the teams so that they can view these policies on Document Direct. Does anyone has any ideas/ suggestions to improve this process. Please help.
We spend so much time running these jobs everyday and sending timestamp back to the teams.
Thanks |

Jamylady,
how about setting up a screen for them to view the status ? and completely eliminate sending the mails
Steps :
1. Teams send their requests
2. You run the job (automate it to run the on the hour like 8 am , 9 am 10 am 11 am .. and you run all the request between hours as 1 single job.)
3. The last step of job will update a DB2 field with the teamname, jobname, time and other details you send in the mail
4. create a screen for the teams to check their status
5. Users enter their team name and they can check the status if the job is completed or not.
