I know little about this,if we want to repeat one field for more than once, we specify OCCURS=n (where n is no.of times)

R1 DFHMDF POS=(7,10),LENGTH=6,OCCURS=4,
INITIAL='------',PICOUT='X(6)',
ATTRB=(UNPROT,IC)

If we want to acess R1 field, it comes in ROW- WISE.

ex:
------ ------ ------ ------
R1(0) R1(1) R1(2) R1(3)

what should i specify to get the R1 field in COLUMN-WISE.

------ R1(0)

------ R1(1)

------ R1(2)

------ R1(3)
