Hi,

I have an requirement were I need to find the jobs that ran for the past 2 years. I have the SMF log whcih in TAPE for the past 2 years. I am looking for sample job which will get me the JOB name and the date.

If you have a capacity planning / performance group, it is most likeley that that will have a report that you can tailor to get what you need.

That is the first place to go ask before spending time writing your own.

I echo Expat. However, if you plan to do it by your own, You need a program to read SMF files, you cannot read them directly. The best one I've found is Merrill's MXG SAS code, which extracts and sorts data.
