				| Hi,
I need to convert a file having intiger type data to display. Following is the sample file:
 . . P.
 00D2
 0179

I want the output file as:
 120617

I need to use this field in EZT and I have to perform calculations also. What data type should I define in EZT for thes intiger fields? Is there any way in EZT to handle this???

 Pls help...

 TIA, Mayank

 Integer type is Binary in easytrieve. S9(1) - S9(4) comp is 2 bytes and s9(5) - s(9) is 4 bytes and s9(10) to s9(18 ) is 8 bytes.

 You can define it as

  	  | Code: | | W-BI-FIELD    P  02  B  0

 * p =  pos of the binary field in the file

 |

If you want to display the actual value in a file then move the binary var to numeric field

If you are writting to a report then you don''t have to do any thing special, it will automatically written out to readable format
