Hi,

My ftp step has failed in Jcl and the condition code is ZERO for the step.
I coded a abend step next to FTP step which abends the job if the FTP step has non zero condition code. but this is not happening as my FTP step fails but still gives a condition code ZERO.

Can anyone explain why is the condition code zero even if the FTP has failed.

I went through the document. thanks for the help.

I cant have this tested in our shop. So can you let me know if EXIT=NN is coded in FTP step and FTP setp fails the COND CODE for that step would be a NON ZERO.
