I have a printer (Xerox DCS 35 known as U700 on the Mainframe) that is pausing in the middle of long IBM printouts.

It never restarts printing, and an IBM Operator must be called for the printout to be cancelled.

I think it is because once the print job is deleted off the printer print queue,
it is requeued from the IBM starts printing again and then pauses again.

The printer did not pause in the past.

I need a fix for this because critical users rely on this printer to print big program listings.

PLZ HELP !!!!!!

Printer configurations are usually very site specific. I think your best bet is to consult your own tech folks who support the printers.

What's driving the print? Is it JES or a product like VPS? It sounds like whatever is driving the print is assuming there was some type of error and is re-sending the print. Maybe it's the printer application that has changed and not the printer.
