Hi All,
Happy to join this Forum.
I gave PRE SMTP* in the SDSF Command Prompt to check whether SMTP is there in our system. But after issueing the command my spool display is empty and I could not find any of my job details.
I even tried logging off and logging on again. but the spool is still empty.
Even the TSO logon job is not displayed.
Could you please help me regarding this.
Thanks & Regards,
Jelin _________________ thanks and regards,

i imagine that you need to use the filters owner/prefix. Suprisingly, the syntax for these two set commands can be found in your PF1 - help.
by the way it is not a tso logon job, it is your tso session. _________________ Dick Brenholtz

Jelin,
Use command SET DISPLAY ON to always display the settings for PREF, DEST, OWNER, etc on your screen. It's helpful. _________________ Regards,

I meant exactly what I said: tso is not a logon job: it is a job (session) that you logon to.
should not hurt anyone to learn. Biggest reason that people have questions is that they don't know enough to find the answer because they never build their vocabulary and knowledge base. calling a tso session a 'logon job' is not correct. _________________ Dick Brenholtz

dbzTHEdinosauer and Bill Dennis,
thanks a lot for your help.
previously i tried with filters owner and prefix. its my fault that i used the prefix command wrongly. today when i tried giving PRE (part of jobname)* it worked.
thanks once again.
dbzTHEdinosauer,
Thanks for correcting me. _________________ thanks and regards,

If they have SDSF setup to have the action bar choices at the top of the screen then you may want to check some of your settings. As I recall some of the defaults probably aren't the best. In your case you may want to select OPTIONS and then DISPLAY VALUES and set this to ON. That way your filters will be visible on your screen. |
