|
|
Hi,
i have installed WDz in my system. But while installing I had downloaded only the REQUIRED images and left out the OPTIONAL ones. So in total out of 10 images available in the download site, i have downloaded only the two required ones. Also i have installed the Rational Developer.
Now the problem is that in WDz, I'm not getting the Enterprise Service Tools Perspective i.e. in Windows --- > Open Perspective ---> Other ---> I cannot see the "EST".
Any reasons why this is happening ? If its because I have missed out any image... can anyone help me out with the Image Number, I mean Part No to download ?
Thanks,
Deepesh |

did you check that on the install page where there are options like EST, the BMS editor, SCLM developer toolkit etc? If not, you can go back into the Installation Manager and use the Update button and add it. _________________ New members are encouraged to read the How To Ask Questions The Smart Way FAQ at http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html. |

In the install page of WDz, the below are the only options seen
-- IBM Websphere Developer for Z Series
-- Language Pack
-- SCLM
I had selected only "IBM Websphere Developer for Z Series" while installing.
There is no EST or BMS Editor mentioned here.
Any thoughts ? |

Hi,
I got to know from the IBM WDZ team that, EST is available only with Version 7.0 of WDz, whereas we are having Version 6.0 in our shop.
Another point is that, WDz will be called as RDz (Rational Developer for Z Series) from V7.0 onwards.
Thanks,

RDz from 7.1 onwards. EST is available in 7.0 but is referred to as SFM (Service flow modeler). I can't recall what EST stands for, probably Enterprise Service Transformation or similar. _________________ New members are encouraged to read the How To Ask Questions The Smart Way FAQ at http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html. |
