be nice to know what you were running. JCL for the step involved: JE1,2,3 and sysout.
have you tried IBM LookAt Site? this is the response from E37 and after reading about E37, I then looked here: which is your ultimate goal

kingo,

Post detailed information on what you're trying to accomplish. Do not make people guess what you mean. This will give you a much better chance of getting a good answer to your question.

You did not post any error messages nor told us what you are trying to do. How do you expect us to help you?

You may be getting that but you should be getting a message along the lines of SE37-xx. The xx relates to what is in the manual under rc and you base your actions on that

well you need to contact IBM and tell them that the operating system at your site is not functioning properly.

normally a job outputs more info that just that one line.
Normally, in different spool files for the job, there is a copy of the JCL used - thus one could see what pgm/utilites are being run, activity during the JOB to include error msgs. Unfortunately, all the info one needs to resolve an error is not in one tidy place; you have to look at the rest of the JES output.

often the E37 has to do with 'no more room for the output file'. Have you looked at the attributes of the output file? - if it was not deleted?

that is - the space attributes after execution as provided by e.g. 3.2 or 3.4 - not what is in your jcl
