you still have not said which statement is causing this. You should have the error routine display where it was called from.

Are you sure that EMP_ID and EMP_NO are 2 columns in your student table and that you have the correct table name - TABSTU5?

Did you code your PREPARE between the cursor DECLARE and cursor OPEN?

Apart from that I cannot see any meaningful differences between my sample exec and yours.

one other thought - are you specifying the correct SSID? If you use that SSID in SPUFI does the EXEACT SAME query work in SPUFI?
