Hi,

1). Our production job compressed 80 GDG generations into a tape file using PKZIP in JCL. Now, I want to extract 33rd generation alone using PKUNZIP. Is this possible?

2). Is it possible to extract all these generations into different PS and PDS members respectively?

Note: I don't have PKZIP expertise.

Expecting a +ve reply...........

TIA.

I didn't know PKZIP ran on mainframes but if it does and the whole thing mimics the facilities it has on PC then the answer is 'YES' you can extract one file. Just read the manual that would have come with the product.

+ve is short for positive. Very Happy
