|
|
Hi,
Is there a way to find out the unused JCLs/JOBS that present in the JCLLIB datatset? Is there a report or log that gives us the list of used/unused JCLs for given period of time?
Thanks for your help.
Thanks,

selva21,
Define Unused. Does it mean that these jobs did not run in the past 3 years? or how do you classify unused jobs?
Depending on scheduler package, there are ways to get this list.

Kolusu,
I mean the jobs that didn't run for the past 2 to 3 years.
Thanks,

Also, if the jobnames uniquely identify the JCL member, SMF history records can identify jobs run in the past years (if your site keeps them).
JCLLIB makes me think of special PROCs or included bits of JCL. It's much more difficult to track these. _________________ Regards,

Don't you have to turn this around? All Jobs that ran in the last 2 to 3 years, everthing else did not and could possibly be removed. Where do you think you can get information about things that have not run? |
