Hello gurus
In the below dataset is it possible to copy all records that contain char COPY. This COPY can occur in any column of record.
Quote: | SORTIN DD *
COPYaslsjjkdlads
asdlkajdCOPYadjlkjdas
asdljalsflfjlkjsf
asdjklCOPYasdlkal |
SORTOUT should be
Quote: | COPYaslsjjkdlads
asdlkajdCOPYadjlkjdas
asdjklCOPYasdlkal |
I.e it does not include the 3rd row.
Thanks, Relaxing. |

I know it can be done with SYNCSORT via SS function (assuming 80 is the LRECL):
Code: |
INCLUDE COND=(1,80,SS,EQ,C'COPY')
|
The max I believe is 256 bytes |

Actually, DFSORT had the SS function first, and for DFSORT the max length is 32752, not 256. _________________ Frank Yaeger - DFSORT Development Team (IBM)
