I have a JCL where I am using a PROC SOLFILE.
SOLFILE has 10 EXEC steps.
I do not want to execute 3rd and 7th step of the PROC SOLFILE.

I cannot edit the PROC SOLFILE

I do not want to write a new PROC.

Is it possible to skip these EXEC steps?

Debajyoti,

Can't you just copy the Proc SOLFILE into the JCL you are execueting and delete the unwanted steps?

Another option is to use the IEBEDIT. Check this link for a detailed explanation of the utility with examples

Hope this helps...

Cheers

You'll have to use EXEC overrides with COND codes in your job.
