Hi All,

I am trying to open a flat file in COBOL program, though I am opening it for the first time I am getting 41 in file status (trying to open a file which is alredy opened). Anybody know what can be the probable cause for this??

Check and see if you have any OPEN statements prior to the current OPEN statement. Also make sure that your pgm isn't looping. Your pgm might have completed execuetion and once again started from beginning.
