I am testing for the allocation of a DDNAME, I am browsing through the output of the "LISTA" cmd. I am wondering if there is a better way to do it. The purpose is to use this piece of code before an ExecIO, fixing the situation in the event of a unsuccesfull allocation. Browsing the site didn't give me any extra pointers on this. I would also appretiate also if there is a thread I might have missed.

listdsi() with the file keyword may be easier.
