Hi All,
I understand that "DBD and PSB is merged into a control block, the application control block (ACB). The ACB is required for online processing but is optional for batch processing".
But, please let me know why actually we need this ACB, How can be it be benefited in DC environment?

MFdigger,
Application control blocks (ACBs) are created by merging information from PSBs and DBDs. For online applications, ACBs must be prebuilt. Prebuilt ACBs require less time to schedule an application program and use less storage. Since Online responses are time critical , a prebuilt ACB comes handy.
Hope this helps...
Cheers
