Hai Kolusu,

I have a query regarding the links provided by you in this case / any other answers you give as links to the solutions.
When i give the link in the browser http://publibz.boulder.ibm.com/cgi-bin/bookmgr_OS390/books/ and i get the display like

Shelf: BookManager

Find books with titles, names, or doc numbers containing:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Book Title Name Date Document

IBM BookManager BookServer Demonstration Book xwebdemo 04/23/97 18:25:24 XWEBDEMO

Library Server for z/OS: Getting Started ephx2l00 08/25/03 14:22:59 SC31-6376-00

Total books = 2

Total books not cataloged = 0

Path = /usr/lpp/internet/server_root/bookmgr_OS390/bookmgr

For example you have given the link for answering DSNTIAUL:
--------------------------------------------------------------

http://publibz.boulder.ibm.com/cgi-bin/bookmgr_OS390/BOOKS/DSNAPH11/APPENDIX1.3.1?DT=20010710165542

My question is how do i know which book to refer like DSNAPH11 after going to the

URL http://publibz.boulder.ibm.com/cgi-bin/bookmgr_OS390/books/ ? Is there any means where in i can know the books available or can u please tell me how do i go about it for searching any other topic / book name related to Mainframe Technology ?

Shekhar123,

Browsing books thru bookmanager can be a bit over whelming. But you can narrow your search by subject.

I will explain briefly .Now go to this link

http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/cgi-bin/bookmgr/LIBRARY

Since the question asked here deals with DB2 unload and load we can filter out the books just for DB2.

In the above link just type DB2 and click on FIND.

You will get all the manuals related to DB2. Now within these we need to sort out the books that we want.

Most of the time you will need the following manuals.

1.Application Programming Guide
2 SQL Reference
3 Utility Guide and Reference
4 Messages and Codes

If you are an admin then you might need the adminstration Guide.

Once you have narrowed down the list, now you need to choose the version of the software. Depending on the version of DB2 at your shop you can pick the book. Most shops have version 7 in their shop. so you will pick DB2 V7 Application Programming and SQL Guide.

Now search this manual for DSNTIAUL.

Btw The manuals on "quick manuals" link are from the filteration process. so just use them.

Hope this helps...

Cheers
