I submitted a JOB
I have the JOB ID and JOB NAME
But the Job got purged or due to some reason the JOB is not available in the spool
How to get the JOB in the spool.

Is there a way to find out this....

As far as I Know Purge command removes all traces of the output from the system. So you cannot recover the output of the job.

Perhaps your job card is wrong? Check out the MSGCLASS parameter.

Something to do with MSGCLASS parameter.

Find the above parameter for other jobs which are in spool and apply the
same parametrs to ur job.

i think in ur case , executed job is in spool for some time and later not found.

If you didn't purge the job and its not available in the spool, quite possible that your message class is mapped to some datasets to be viewed with JMR/SAR.

Try if you can find this job in JMR/SAR (or whatever product your instalation has for job retrievals)

I given MSGCLASS=X only ,
I seen that job in the spool after some 1/2 hour of my submission of my job it was there .
Later it after 2 hours it was not there..
probably it was purged by someone else..

On one of the systems I use, class X indicates that the output should be held, but there's no guaranteed time limit. If spool space becomes an issue for the ops then they're at liberty to purge anything in class X.

MSGCLASS varies with installation. My previous shop used 'X' and 'K' and in my present shop I use 'Y'. There are two possibilities
1. As Mervyn pointed out - due to lack of space your job might have been purged.
2. You job might have been routed to some job log tools like SAR, INFOPAC etc...

You need to cross check with your colleagues to see what needs to be done.
