Cheers

Vallish,

You could download demo versions (from Quercus Systems)
"Personal REXX for Windows"
"Personal REXX for DOS"

REXX download

I just checked it out and i could test a sample REXX program in DOS....

(though there is a restriction of 50 lines of code!!

regards,

IBM's PCDOS 7 has rexx built in. This is a frequent question, so I'd suggest a newsgroup search at http://groups.google.com (though it is getting less frequent with the demise of DOS).

If you need a cross platform code (i.e. you want to use the same REXX code both on the mainframe in native MVS and on the PC) or you must use DOS (?) then, by all means, get the REXX and go for it.
If on the other hand, you need to develop straight on the PC and you could use Windows, then Perl is much better choice. And it is also available for the mainframe but alas, not in native MVS (i.e. you need Unix services and HFS).

You can download Reginald REXX for Windows. It is a free interpreter for REXX which you can run on your PC.

The following is the URL where you can download the same -

http://www.borg.com/~jglatt/rexx/reginald/win32/rxdevw32.htm

Manas
