where can I get some sample coding for an IP listener, concurrent server or iterative server ?
Are there aby samples available, for reading the configuration file ?

well, this is not 100% what i'm looking for.
Using CICS TC EZAC or the configuration macro, the port number for the listener is stored in the configuration file.
Who to read the configuration file ? - The IBM manual provides a explenation, but no complete sample. This is, what I'm looking for.

The EZACONFIG VSAM dataset defined to the local TCP CICS region should contain the local TCPIP configuration including the listener configuration.

But how to read the configuration data ? - The keywords Global Work Area .... are in the manual, but how to do ist ? Sample code ?

Sorry Bauer..Cannot help you on that...The information that I provided you was based on my experience of writing a single socket program to connect to the mainframe SMTP server on our site a couple of years back. I had got the listener IP address and port no (I think the port no was 25 on our site) from our sys adm.
I don't know how to change that configuration.
