Hi Board,
I need to find Screen name for a transaction xxxxx. I know I can look into MFS source and find output which will give me the screen name.
Without having the MFS source can anyone find the screen name like for instance any /dis command or any thing else.
Thanks in advance, |

Hilltop,
what exactly do you mean by a screen name? Is it the MFSname/map name ?

Hi Kolusu,
Sorry about the confusion. I meant map name. I could able to find the map name in MFS loadlib. I gave a find for the transaction name and it poped me the MFS loadlib member. Is there any other way to find the map name without having map source/load.
Thanks, |

Hilltop,
FYI when you say screen in CICS terminology it is nothing but MAP name and in IMS it is MOD name.
In my shop by naming convension we will find the screen name.
eg:
ABXPROG -- Progname
ABPROG -- Transaction
ABOPROG -- MOD name(Screen name)
If you know program /transaction name you can find MOD name by putting O at 3rd position.
According to my knowledge other than MFS load/source there is no command to find the screen name.
Hope it helps. _________________ Thanks

The IMS Utility DFSUTSA0 (proc=MFSRVC) will list and cross-reference DIF/DOF/MID/MOD but it does not really supply the information requested. |
