Hi,
We are in the process of integrating the legacy sysem with the web. We are using Java on solaris Box. The data on the solaries box is in ASCII format and on z/os is ebcdic format. When it comes to the numeric data, both will be in big endian format only. We can convert the data by using data conversion routine exits in MQ. Instead of this, if we could opt for XML, Do we require to do the data conversions still, as XML follows unicode.Please corect me if i am worng. I am not sure how the process w roks in both cases. what are advantages and disadvantages of the two process? How the conversion will take place?
