Hai,

I have a COBOL pgm in which i see the code as

ENVIRONMENT DIVISION.
CONFIGURATION SECTION.
SOURCE-COMPUTER. IBM-370.
OBJECT-COMPUTER. IBM-370.
SPECIAL-NAMES.
C02 IS TOP-OF-PAGE.


Can anyone let me know what does SPECIAL-NAMES statement mean & what is the meaning of the statement C02 IS TOP-OF-PAGE.

Coolguy2005,

you are new to this forum ,so you may not be aware of the rules of this forum. This site also hosts manuals on the main page as well as on the helpboards page. Look at the "quick manuals" link at the top of this page.

Check this link in detail which explains the special-names paragraph

C02 means Line 3 should be considered as top of the page.
