I have a cobol statement looking like this ?

=COLS> ----+----1----+----2----+----3----+----4----+----5----+----6----+----7--
000433 D DISPLAY 'ENTERING 200-DECLARE-CURSOR'.

can we specify anything other than - / * in column 7 .What does 'D' in column 7 indicate ?

A D in column 7 indicates a Debugging line which will be active if you specify
SOURCE-COMPUTER. name WITH DEBUGGING MODE.
