Hello All,
We are told that to get the production priority for batch job,it has to be submitted thru CA-7 job scheduler.
Is it true???? _________________ Venkataramana

I don't honestly see why there should be any doubt. Any comment, Venkataramana? _________________ The day you stop learning the dinosaur becomes extinct |

I am in a mainframe to Client server conversion project.
All of the programs we have written are one time programs. We have been running our programs by manually submitting JCLS from our testing PDS which had normal prioirty.
Now time has come for the new application(client Server application) to go live.
During this go live situation, client wants us to run our programs with CA-7 so that we can get better priority(production) and CPU time.
We have to make some changes to our JCLs to load in CA-7 database.Which we do not want to do.I thought I would find out from you guys if there is way to get the production priority by changing/passing some parameters like CLASS _________________ Venkataramana

I'm sure that adjustments to priority can be made. If your shop is like ours, however, it may be easier in the long run to take the hit, and modify the JCL!
Good luck. _________________ The day you stop learning the dinosaur becomes extinct |
