Hi,

I am trying to run Quiesce utility on a database and i got the following error.
'USER WDEUSR NOT AUTHORIZED FOR QUIESCE UTILITY ON DATABASE DSQLMAST'

I could understand from this that 'WDEUSR' doesnt have the authority to run Quiesce utility.

Can anyone suggest , how can I grant the authority and what privileges should i have to grant the authority.

Durgamallesh,

You need database privelege of IMAGCOPY which grants the privilege to run the COPY, MERGECOPY, and QUIESCE utilities against table spaces of the specified databases, and to run the MODIFY utility.
