hi,
i need tp invoke a jcl from a cics program. the jcl in turn should execute a program to generate a report. can this be done using the link command or is there another way of doing it.

You cannot LINK to JCL from CICS. JCL has to be submitted by writing it to the internal reader. Both main methods of doing this from CICS - via TDQ and via SPOOL commands - have been discussed previously so searching these forums should get you what you need.
