Hi friends.
Here I have a small querry regarding RECFM parameter. What is the difference between RECFM = F and RECFM = FB of DCB parameter.

F indicates that the records are fixed length
FB indicates that the records are of fixed length as well as blocked.

Having RECFM=F will have huge impact on performance. If specify RECFM=F then the BLKSIZE must be set to the LRECL.
