Hi All,
Im a novice in CICS programming and we are using a special tool called CA-intertest for debugging CICS programs. The problem here is that none of the team members knows how to use this tool nor log into the tool at first place. Please can anyone provide me with some documentation of this tool and also tell me how to login into this tool, it would be highly appreciated. |

As with the frequent requests for documentation on any site, the answer to this should be:
1) If your shop has Intertest installed, legally, it will have manuals. You just have to find out who has them and get them distributed or borrow them.
2) Manuals maybe copyrighted and therefore not freely available, but extra copies can be supplied by the vendor, possibly even for free.
In your case, as no-one seems to know anything then perhaps you should get an education day set aside for the team and someone who knows can coma along and tell you. It is much cheaper than having people not using a tool and getting behind in the project. _________________ Utility and Program control cards are NOT, repeat NOT, JCL. |

Shankar,
Manual is available in internet. Search for 'ca intertest manual' in google. But be aware of the copyright laws mentioned in second page of the document.
BTW, Intertest is a commonly used tool among CICS developers. Just wondering how come none of your team members know it! |
