We are using a third party product to do the console interface.
System is z/OS 1.8 w/ACF2
When I issue a command from the product, I get a:
F CICSTSTR,CEMT P SHUT,I --> MYUSRID
EE345I MODIFY AUTHORITY INVALID, FAILED BY MVS
I HATE security type problems. People who do security full time are close mouthed and suspicious my nature.
Anybody know how to fix this? Trace it? Anything? |

Have you looked in the SYSLOG or the STCLOG for a security violation? The violation message will tell you exactly what permissions will have to be permitted. |

Yup. No dice.
We are an ACF2 shop and he keeps detailed records about resource events, etc. That are available through some online reporting features. No hits.
Also, I have googled the message and there are bunches of hits out there, and basically everyone is as confused about this as I, it seems to be a poorly documented area, something to do with the opercmds segment(or maybe not! I STILL cannot find a conclusive answer!)
So I'm stuck. Worked under 1.6
Doesn't under 1.8
pending etr in progress. |

Do you not an error escalation process, where your problem is logged and the resolution measured against an SLA ?
A bit sneaky dropping someone else in the brown smelly stuff, but sometimes needs must _________________ If it's true that we are here to help others,
then what exactly are the others here for ? |
