				| Hi,
 My requirement :
There are 10 records in a Fixed byte file LRECL = 10(Containing only numbers)The job abended while processing the 5 th record.
I would like to restart the job after copying the rest of the unprocessed records onto a separate file.
The record which was the cause for the abend should be passed as a parm value in JCL while restarting. Can this be done efficiently and simply using Sort?

				| * Use a checkpoint file that captures the count of the records processed. * In your COBOL program, you would always read the checkpoint file and start processing the record from where you left in case of abends.
