F1 and just trying usually helps best. If you get lost whilst playing you just cancel out of whatever you are editing.
TS (split line): place cursor at column you want line to split at and press enter - of course you have to type the line command first. All characters from where the cursor is , to the end of the line will be moved to a new line. But you knew this because you tried it, didn't you?
TJ - same sort of thing but joining lines _________________ Utility and Program control cards are NOT, repeat NOT, JCL. |

The most convenient way is to use a PF key. For example, set a PF key to :ts - then place the cursor in the middle of a line and press that PF key whenever you want to split a line at that point. |
