Hi All,
I've been tasked to create a process by which an email is sent out from the mainframe to pagers to alert folks whenever certain jobs have been running for over 30 minutes. The email piece is easy enough to be sent via another batch job but is there a tool or program that is out there that can keep track of execution times for batch jobs?
We use CA-Jobtrac for scheduling our batch processes and it has the ability to trigger jobs based on SYSLOG messages. Does anyone use Jobtrac for this purpose?
Thank you,

Isn't this what CPM is for? I am not sure about the license situation, but there is a product from CA called Critical Path Monitoring that is supposed to do just that, try taking a look at it. It works with Jobtrac or CA7. |
