Hi,
We have a number of console defined to the sysplex but the primary master console keeps disappearing and as a result we cannot vary it back. If you do D C the console appears to be online still but the actual terminal has been shut down (3270 emulation).
The new master console then gets no messages back to it.
I have tried VARY CON(consname),OFFLINE,FORCE without any luck.
It seems I cannot close/shut the original master console.
Any thoughts

Our recovery doc (not sure if we've really used it) says to reassign master somewhere else using | Code: | | V CN(CONxxxx),AUTH=MASTER,ROUT=ALL,INTIDS=Y |
I assume that if the 3270 session was started again, the master console could be sent back there again.

Thanks, typically I found a lovely command that ficed my problem 2 mins after posting the question
