We have our production regions migrated to TS 3.1. We were trying to do a POC to make use of Channels and containers to displace the large usage of Commarea.

I know 3.1 supports Channels and containers. But I'm getting a compiler error (i,e during translation procedure) 'OPTION 'CHANNEL' IS NOT VALID AND IS IGNORED.'.

Any spl translator parameter need to be used to overcome ?

Please advise.

It was a JCL Error. I had used a simple coding using channels in my application program and tried compiling, but ended with a compiler error.
