As above. I need to monitor our tape drive useage over a set period of time.
Sun/Stek used to have a utility we would run which would grab data from SMF and report it into a nice table, but the license for this has now run out and Sun seem to be a bit cagey to renew it.

Are there any utilities out there that could do the same ?

We wrote our own using SMF records 14 and 15 (input and output files) and tape type device entries. DEVTYPE------X'xxxx80xx' = tape

I don't know if there is something existing on CBTTAPE, etc.
