JCL is not a programming language. The correct terminology here is "job to job". Think about it that way and the answers become pretty obvious. You put the data somewhere that a subsequent job can find it. Usually that is a data set, though it could be something else like a data base, server, data space, common address space, tape, or anything else the batch programs can access. It is up to the programs you are invoking. |
