If you have the latest SyncSort for z/OS maintenance, we support all the ICETOOL functions. If you are experiencing a problem using SYNCTOOL, please feel free to contact me and I would be happy to assist you further. _________________ Alissa Margulies

amargulies,
1. Does syncsort support Parse,sqz,JFY and &Daten-r ?
2. If we are talking about ICETOOL functions does syncsort support Floating point display on DISPLAY operand?
3. How do we determine if we have the latest version of syncsort?

Koluso,
&Daten-r has been available for many years. The PARSE, SQZ, and JFY dfsort functions will available soon.
In regards to the ICETOOL functions, it was our intention to be completely compatible. It appears that we missed one - Floating Point. We are working on it and it will be available soon as well.
The release of SyncSort that a shop is running should post in the message header of the sort job. The current release is SyncSort for z/OS 1.2.2.3.

Up until now, there has been no SYNCTOOL documentation other than the SYNCTOOL Messages. This too will change shortly. It is already being worked on. _________________ Alissa Margulies

I am NOT talking about &DATEn-r on include/omit parms. I am talking about the parm on INREC/OUTREC. check this topic.
|
Kolusu,
Ah, in that case, it is coming shortly and should be available in the next release as well. _________________ Alissa Margulies

Complete documention on DFSORT's ICETOOL has been available since 1991! _________________ Frank Yaeger - DFSORT Development Team (IBM)

IBM does NOT pre-announce function.
Note that DFSORT's ICETOOL has had the SPLICE function for join and match operations since Feb, 2003. _________________ Frank Yaeger - DFSORT Development Team (IBM)
