ALLOCATE is a command. It lives in sys1.cmdlib. I copied it to ALLO, in the same library so, sys1.cmdlib(ALLO).
Now I go to READY and entered. ALLO. It tells me;
IKJ56500I COMMAND ALLO NOT FOUND
WHY??WHY???!!!! |

Why are you messing around with SYS1.CMDLIB?
As I suspected, a colleague has confirmed that you need to do a LLA Refresh before you can use your new command. _________________ The day you stop learning the dinosaur becomes extinct |

I see that ALLOCATE already has an ALIAS of ALLOC in SYS1.CMDLIB. By typing the "C" you could save yourself the trouble!
Also, when the original module gets modified by maintenance, your version becomes down-level! _________________ Regards,
