Hi All,
I want to run SQL Query using Focus Batch Program.

The requirement is like I want to run SQL Query (Select * from table1) using batch Focus job.

here table1 is db2 table.

I know the temporary solution to this problem is unload db2 table into flat file and then run normal FOCUS Query and get the reports, but i just want to know if we can connect to DB2 using Batch Focus.

Let me know if anything is not clear.

rajen,

Rajen,

Focus data adapters lets you access DB2/UDB, IMS, CA-Datacom, CA-IDMS, Adabas. Check this link

http://www.informationbuilders.com/products/focus/data_adapters.html

Hope this helps...

Cheers

Hi Kolusu,

Thanks for the reply.

Can you please give me one example?

I have seen this Information Builder site and theoritically its clear.

Someone in our shop this Focus to DB2 connection is not taking place.
So if you can give me one example which runs simple SQL query on Db2 table then it would be of great help.
