A very happy new year to you.
I was using the SPLIT1R option in a job to split a file into two. I got a RC 0f 16 in the SORT step with the following DFSORT error message:

The syntax is fine. But the error message indicates you don't have z/OS DFSORT V1R5 PTF UK90007 (April, 2006). You need that PTF to use SPLIT1R. Ask your System Programmer to install it (it's free).
