A very happy new year to you.
I was using the SPLIT1R option in a job to split a file into two. I got a RC 0f 16 in the SORT step with the following DFSORT error message:

ICE250I 0 VISIT http://www.ibm.com/storage/dfsort FOR DFSORT PAPERS, EXAMPLES AN
ICE000I 0 - CONTROL STATEMENTS FOR 5694-A01, Z/OS DFSORT V1R5 - 10:39 ON WED JAN

The syntax is fine. But the error message indicates you don't have z/OS DFSORT V1R5 PTF UK90007 (April, 2006). You need that PTF to use SPLIT1R. Ask your System Programmer to install it (it's free). For complete details on all of the new DFSORT and ICETOOL functions available with the April, 2006 PTF, see:
