anbesivam,
Are you talking about DB2 v9 for linux and windows? IBM haven't yet released DB2 V9 for Z/os. The latest version of DB2 on mainframes is V8.

Hi Kolusu,
Thanks for your response.
I have read following named document which is published by IBM on May 2, 2006.
IBM DB2 V9.1 for z/OS launches beta program:Realize the business value of your information with innovation that matters
In this document they are mentioned like:
Software requirements: This section lists licensed

It is not an official release and it is just a beta version. I am not sure as to why you want to upgrade to beta version.

Hi Kolusu,
I agree with you and no need to bother about this now.
But we are in the middle of the Enterprise PLI migration and it will take another 1 year to complete.
If IBM may plan to release db2 9 version in another 6 months time and if this version is not supporting PL1 older versions, we need to speed up our migration process. That's why I have asked this.
This will help us our planning. |
