Hi members,

Does anybody have any old copy of File-AID/MVS Batch reference manual? I am particularly looking for guidelines and control cards for usage of PGM=FILEAID in batch.
I could not locate it even after extensive googling and looks like it has been copyrighted.

Thanks!

You can access any of these manuals via the Compuware site. All you need to do is supply your client number which should be obtainable via your FileAid ispf panels, or ask your Sysprog.....

p.s. do you think it is ethical to ask people to supply you with copyright material ?

Could you explain how I could get that via Fileaid ISPF panel?
Thanks!

P.S. Point well taken, Grant. Let me rephrase the request - It would be great help if anybody has compiled the guidelines, control cards for usage of PGM=FILEAID in batch and shares with me.

mangsk,

From the fileaid main menu choose

option
Code:
0  PARAMETERS  - Specify ISPF and File-AID parameters

then

choose option
Code:
1  SYSTEM       - File-AID system parameters

The first 2 lines in this panel will have your client number and name.

Use this information and register here

http://frontline.compuware.com/register/reg.asp

Make sure to use your client email address. Once registered and verified you will have access to all the manuals.

Hope this helps...

Cheers
