|
|
I had a problem where I would like to read a parm having data and based on validation I would like to process in the program.
Main problem is I would like to share the data which is of 150 in length. As mainframe dataset member cannot accomodate 150 length parm I approached a file. But file should be created before run with the required data as a pre-requisite.
I am thinking for an alternative way where i can avoid all prerequisites of files.
Can some one suggest an alternate approach for my problem except writing a one more cobol program to create some files dynamically.
Thanks,

I think he mentioned the words "dataset member" in conjunction with "cannot accomodate 150..."

Ofer/ Kolusu
You are right that we cannot pass 150 length in parm.
I am looking for an alternative way except a file. If i approach a file i need to have prerequest every time for setup.
thats where i am looking for an alternative approach. I got the soultion using SAS.
But still i have to create three more elements for SAS program like PROC or JCL etc.,
will there be any solution other than this...
